With fashion in a faster state of flux than ever, the relationships between designers and those who influence and/or wear their designs seem radically reversed. But are they, really? Over the course of the past three years, GLAMCULT joined forces with photographer Ari Versluis to explore these liaisons. From Paris to Antwerp, London, Moscow, Brussels and Berlin, the ever-evolving language of fashion was put under the microscope. And even though this investigation could go on for ever, the outcome thus far is Embody: 11 signs of the times that capture fashion’s heartbeat and collectively offer a glimpse into its future. But more than anything, 11 reflections on representation, realness and the culture we create to define ourselves.
